REMEMBER ME FROM TODAY

I'm not a painter

but I paint

I've had a journal since I was 10

I've lost the key

I'm young and in love

I see the beauty in a tree swept dry,

a dream come undone

All the good journals are too expensive these days, so here I am

all filled with blank pages

an obsession with owl figurines

or maybe just owls in general

Here's a piece of me

I'll look back

and try to finish what I once started.
