A taste from the dry leaves

agent 99 longsleeve / acne jeans / shoes from zomp / vintage fur collar / alexander wang bag

It's been quite a while... The easter long weekend I spent up at the hunter valley rolled in and out too quick. I got caught up in the rain, a fever shortly followed after and time flew as I did absolutely nothing but lye in bed the last couple of days. Your friday being my monday.

I'm stuck in a burgundy moment and can't get enough of rusty tin roofs― maybe it's the autumn weather slowly rubbing off on me. Actually, the obsession already started here. It's that old, fragile feeling I love. Threw this burgundy and fur combo on with an old comfy pair of boyfriend jeans, peep toe cork boots, the slouchy diego and I was ready for another wine tasting.

I'll be living in this vintage fur collar as the weather cools down. I found this one earlier this year after searching high and low for the perfect one with the right length, colour and thickness. I can never settle for less. I've worn it nearly everyday this week, I think it needs a day off tomorrow.

Through a rainy day

rummaging through the fringe markets / level 2 at ampersand / tea party by the window sill / sitting, waiting / antique blinds / lasagne, panini & wilde for lunch / sorted by author / wanting these pony hair gorman ankle boots / my kind of indian heaven

When my long time friend Nicole, said she wanted to hit the markets and go shopping on the weekend because she just got paid, it couldn't have been more perfect (even though it was 18 degreees and pouring down throughout the day). We started at the Young Australian Designers Market then headed down oxford st. with our umbrella turning inside out more than once. Lunch by the rainy window sill was delicious and my obsession for all items with pony hair just extended itself to these beautiful gorman boots. Seven hours minus seven hundred dollars later called for dinner and drinks. The saturday night that just passed turned out alot more crazy than expected...

Lazy sunday

Paradise dreaming, sticky date pudding and snuggle sundays are the best. Being hung over is a different story...

Here's looking on the inside

deadly ponies 'mr fill n zip twist' bag with fur keyring from the philippines / keys with usb & miniature dream catcher keyring / iphone 4 / notebook & biro / eye drops / hand sanitizer / mac lipstick / maybelline 'baby lips' lip balm / vintage sunnies / chanel compact mirror / beaten up prada wallet / spare film / mini diana camera

My bag changes every few days, but they're always filled with the same essentials monday-friday. This deadly ponies bag is probably the most versatile I have to fit everything, and more. The deerskin is so soft and slouchy and the zipped pockets are perfect for separating itemsa little personal touch with the vintage fur keyring.

I found the little dream catcher keyring on my recent trip to Boracay. Once I spotted it I knew I had to have it on my keys. It's the perfect accessory to add alongside the boring, although handy usb. At the start of this year I couldn't find a diary that I liked, so I searched for a diary app on my iPhone instead and purchased something that was perfect! It's called 'organizer' and it's pretty much a virtual diary with pages you can flick through, to do lists you can mark & view, maps you can add, images of new contacts, fonts you can change. Check it out hereif you need to get organised!

That doesn't mean I don't carry around a notebook... I love having blank pages to write and draw. It's those thoughts throughout the day that you need to jot down before you forget! This envelope style book is like the modern version of Robert Pattinson's in Remember Me. Well, it reminded me of it anyway. The string closure is my favourite. Only wishing it was leather bound.

Just a couple of little things that get me through the dayeye drops incase my eyes get dry and my contacts feel like popping out (yes, it's happened!), hand sanitiser because I'm a bit of a germophobe, lip balm and lipstick for any touch ups on my little scratched chanel compact mirror.

I've had this prada wallet for over 3 years now and it just gets better with age. I'm so over it though, I need something new and am still tying to decide on which colour of the mulberry... which pretty much shows how indecisive I am as I did a post about that a while ago. And last, but certainly not the least... My mini diana camera and spare film. I got this as a gift for my 22nd birthday and along with my digi, I'm always ready to make time stand still.

You can tell a lot about a person from what's in their bag.. So I thought I'd share a little bit about me.

Emptying the suitcase

7am and good to go / $10 bargains / hanging around / hanging around x2 / our little loyal visitor / 9am nap / brand new repettos / getting creative

You never leave with what you're looking for when you enterthat's the best thing about the markets. I love a good bargain, the idea of someone's trash being your treasure and finding something that you absolutely love that someone else absolutely hates. So after plenty of years of always emptying my wallet to buy, my friend Nina from Uncle Sep and I held our own stall at Kirribilli today. It was an early sunday morning start but after a busy day, chorizo rolls and fresh lemonade for lunch, a bag of skittles and an unwanted storm, I made a whole lot of ch-ching! Stick around for more details, this won't be the last of them.

I guess dinner's on me tonight!

Won't you come on home

shakuhachi dress / tiffany & co. necklace / tree of life ring / vintage mood ring / vintage bracelet / friendship bands

The sun was golden and this dress was perfect when you plan on doing nothing but run around barefoot on a beautiful autumn day. The lace panels make it alot more interesting than any old plain maxi dress and I'm loving how little peaks of skin is exposed in the slightest way... Paired with nothing but the essentialsmy peace necklace that I literally wear everyday and the friendship bands, with everything else just thrown together.

Before the fisheye farewell

just lying around / fisheye2 for sale

These test shots in my room were the first of plenty since I got my new 2-in-1 lens last week. The weekend rolled in with a farewell dinner and time stood perfectly still in fisheye view that night.

Now that I have my fisheye/macro lens, I figured I didn't need my fisheye 2 lomography camera. It's still in excellent condition, pre-loved and is working as good as new! It has a 170-degree wide angle view, barrel distortion, internal flash and allows long and multiple exposures on the same frame. It takes standard 35mm film and includes a removable fisheye viewfinder, metal jacket body treatment and a hot shoe mount for external flash and filters. Some examples of photographs, here.

If you're interested, shoot me an email with your best offer. Or, you can come by my market stall I'll be holding with my friend this Sunday the 10th of April for plenty of fashion, jewellery, bags, art and everything in between including this camera. Our trash could be your treasure...

I'll post up the details closer to the date if you want to pop by and say hi!

Sunday to myself

A little sleep in on the weekends never hurt, but since it was such a beautiful sunny day I took a little wonder after pancakes for breakfast. I left with the intention of just going out to the market to buy fruit and vegetables for the week. Taking longer than expected, I came back with 6 bags, new pieces of jewellery, a stroll around the flower garden and of course some photos along the way...

UNDERNEATH IT ALL

topshop shearling denim jacket / zara top / kuto dress / vintage bag

The days are fine, but the nights are cold. Forgetting about the layers just for a dayI've pulled out an old shearling to keep me company. What better way is there than to wrap yourself in a giant ugg boot disguised as a denim jacket?

I'm sure you wouldn't need much under there.
