Finders keepers

watercolour prints from illustrator emma leonard / cloudy journals from paper boat press / babushka balloons above centre stage / golden dwarf / nina's glass of rose / with a little help poster by lance corlett/ fruit bowl full of stickers / the design kids stall setup

Friday night at Finders Keepers Marketthis was after two glasses of wine and a cheese platter at Orto.
I've always been attracted to the beauty of water colour illustrations, getting the right effect is harder than you think. The first image with a print from emma leonard was my favourite. Ofcourse, it had to be the one of a girl holding a camera, typical of me. Finally got to meet one of my boyfriends lovely friends Frankie from the design kids at her stall and after a couple of polaroid snaps, king st. was calling for some late night pita pockets.

The ballad of John & Yoko
Falling in love: Photographs by Ethan Russell, 1968
Blender Gallery 12th May - 18th June 2011

I've been waiting for this exhibition since getting the inviteHAIR PEACE / BED PEACE.
Every single image is beautiful and after seeing what I saw, I fell in love with their story ten times more. There's a variety of 30x40", 20x24" and 16x20" images all available for purchase. Black and white photographs always seem to capture my soul...

Baby it's cold outside

cosy pendleton blanket

It's that time of the year again, the air is crisp and every night is perfect snuggle weather. I originally wanted one of these blankets without fringing, like this one I posted here. But I actually don't mind the fringe after finding this jacquard one. I wish I could chase the sun wrapped in this little navajo cocoon all day, every day this winter.

twenty three wishes

hanging chairs at ms g's / notorious b.i.g's juicy wall / drooling 'stoner's delight' desert / pina 'pearls' colada cocktail / walk to the car / pattern obsession / gallery wall / two of my favourites / victoria street / vintage boots

Turning twenty three on a sunday: surprise lunch at ms g's in potts point, pitt street mall wondering, a visit to paper plane gallery for the 'this little teapot' exhibition, market rummaging then dinner with my beloved family. The grilled calamari would have to be my favourite dish for lunch, topped off with this mouth watering desert filled with chocolate rice bubble cubes, caramel coated pretzels, vanilla ice cream and drizzled with melted caramel.... Yum.

Popped by the 'this little teapot' exhibition at paper plane gallery that was held by the same guys that ran 'this little piggy' in february last year where you can see on my old blog, here. Fifty fist-sized teapots were given to a selected group of established and emerging artists. These two I photographed were my favourite!

I still can't believe how fast time is flying. All that was playing through my head was forever young by youth group.

I want to be forever young...
