Fell in love with the seaside

joveeba top / zara scarf / ksubi jeans / alexander wang wedges

The new cut out shoulder with a little more detail.

Loving how easy and comfortable this top isespecially when you're in a rush to head out early in the morning and you just need something to throw on... but you still want to look like you had a little thought. I guess it just does it all for you.. and somehow khaki and leopard are just meant to be.

A little sentimental

1. Eye of aphrodite ring: The goddess of love in Greek mythology. Her all seeing eye floats on top of my index finger and leads me along the path of love. You'll only see me with this on it's own, no layering of rings, she likes to steal the show.

2. Half hearted necklace: A gift on my 22nd birthday, the letters 'eju' on my side of the heart. The other side is engraved with 'bov', put them together and it says bove juthe drunken words of girls saying I love you to each other. I'm a cheap drunk, sometimes.

3. Metal wishbone: The words carved into this are strong and thoughtful. (BELIEVE, WISH, FOCUS, KEEP IT WITH YOU, WORK FOR IT, HAVE FUN) A souvenir from my boss' recent trip to london. It sits right next to my amethyst stone on my bedside table.

4. Tiffany & Co. necklace: A 5 year anniversary gift from my boyfriend. I had my heart set on this dainty silver thing to wear around my neck everyday. Next thing I know he's at my office doorstep with a turquoise blue bag and a surprise dinner for 5. It was all peace and love... and still is.

5. Amethyst stone: I've been collecting a couple of crystals, each with it's own significant meaning and reminder of time. I picked this one up on my little get away to the Hunter Valley last april. Something small yet so empowering. To instill a sober mind and guard against drunkenness. After all, we did do plenty of wine tasting.

A couple of tiny treasures I keep close to my heart.

Muted

acne knit / kuto maxi dress / thrifted biker boots / random scarf from my boyfriend / louis vuitton speedy 30

A cosy winter knit over a summer dress, with two patterns to keep things interestinga speedy in check that I was gifted on my 21st birthday and a growing collection with my obsession for paisley scarvesMy boyfriend has already bought me two to add but I'm still on the hunt for more different colours... I think it's my long awaited dream of travelling to India creeping back up. The waiting city is calling my name, but these paisley scarves are as close as I can get, besides my kurti.

I bought this maxi a couple of summer's ago but it's one of those pieces that can be worn over and over again. Love the short front, long bottom but mainly the low criss cross back that you can see here. These guys are market basedglebe and bondi to be specific but they've also opened their online store, a couple of goodies if you're looking for simple yet versatile basics for a good price.

Oh hey, remember when I talked about little changes that make something old, feel brand new again. Well they're exactly like these beat up biker boots. I've folded the top half down and never looked back...

Mystery Girl

There's this girl.

She's started to come up more than usual on the street style scene lately and she had me hooked from the first photograph I saw of her. I'm loving her style and not knowing her name. She wears all the right pieces in all the right ways and I've never been more inspired by how a girl puts everything in her outfit together, so effortlessly. She was that mystery girl with some serious style.

Trying to find out her name by purely searching key words such as 'coloured fur girl' or 'patchwork skirt girl' probably wasn't the best idea. But, I finally know now and am excited to share. Her name is Kamilya, she's an art student based in Paris and she's my current girl crush. Here's two of my favourite looks:

Metal armour

david lawrence necklace

Really can't wait to wear this new baby out properlywhen I say properly, I mean slicked hair via josh goot SS 12 at australian fashion week, a crisp white tee, the ideal printed pants and mac lipstick in honey love. Minimalism at it's best.

Right now it's all fuzzy hair and a fresh face.

On the same page

tiffany & co on mary-kate / chanel on aline

Two of my favourite dainty necklaces.
Always wrapped around in the silver, the gold just comes and goes as it pleases.
Maybe I should try layers next time.

9/10 in focus

zara pants / ysl ring / vest from newtown markets / bag & sunglasses from glebe markets / shoes from zomp

Took the old Ricoh slr out to shoot saturday on film in my fancy pants and new cosy vest that I recently picked up. It's pretty much just this coat with no sleeves, no wonder why I love it so much. The deep forest green in this has got me hooked and I don't really want to take it off!

Mitchell Road's antique auction centre had their closing down sale which was a definite visit and the long awaited seafood platter lunch at the fish markets never tasted any better! Bounced around on this three seater couch that I fell in love with along with plenty of other items that flew out the warehouses' shutter doors and into people's boots.

Sunday was another successful day at my Kirribilli markets stallphoenix was playing, our friendship bands stole the show in our little bric-a-brac corner and now my wallet won't close properly!

But hey, I'm not complaining.

That old picket fence

asos top / don't ask amanda crochet skirt / leopard bag from philippines / ysl ring / sunglasses from glebe markets / maille coin sandals

Fish & chips, fresh fruit with yoghurt and muesli and a fried mars barall by the beach after a little stroll around bondi markets on sunday. The sling bag is always a top pick when I plan on visiting stalls, it's just easier to keep your hands free to browse, rummage or hold an ice cream in one and your lovers hand in the other.

I got this fluffy leopard bag at a random side stall in the philippines a while ago and it originally had a long silver chain handle. I've switched the chain to this tan leather strap that's from my pendleton and now it's got a completely different look, which I'm actually liking better.

It's just these little changes that make something old, feel brand new again.
