Velvet ballet

Really loving these velvet ballet flats from Topshop. Only problem is choosing which colour way...

Engraved with love

I tend to forget the things I purchase online sometimes. This vintage choker arrived in the post a couple of weeks ago even though I ordered it way before my metal armour by David Lawrence. It was standard shipping from the U.S so the package took it's time getting over to me, but when it finally did, it was a nice little unexpected surprise.

I thought I'd need to get rid of one choker but they actually have their own look, whilst my other one is simple and chic this one is old and roughly engraved with egyptian patterns that I'm in love with. After all, it is one of my top three dream countries to visit―the two others? Find out more, here.

Spotted

I've never really been a fan of polka dots but I've been hypnotized and want a pair of tiny shorts in navy and white. The smaller the spots, the better. I'm sure it's got something to do with Alexa Chung coming to Sydney next week... for some reason they remind me of her. I'm on the edge for this pair.

On time for once

Running errands in an example of my favourite kinds of tops―earthy ethnic prints, flowy, slightly sheer and embellished. Not much more is needed after all those boxes are ticked. Paired it with everything else in different textures of black... plus a little gold detailing on my new favourite boots and my tiny dream catcher that hangs from the zips.  

Love and happiness

This little crystal garden of mine was born a few days ago. 

The story started when my boyfriend surprised me with the red colour way four months ago, symbolizing love. It takes about three weeks to grow after you've planted the seeds, even though I checked up on it everyday nothing ever happened. That time passed and it turned out I didn't read the instructions properly so my love was wasted. I ended up buying my own―in yellow, symbolizing happiness and these are the results:

Show pony

First the ankle cuff obsession from Chloe that still hasn't been fulfilled, now the ponytail from Dries Van Noten's Fall 2011 show in Paris. Wouldn't mind one of these in brass... Thank goodness I decided not to go the chop on the weekend!

Caught in the middle

I found this scarf on the weekend that's been sitting in my wardrobe ever since I visited Hong Kong a couple of years ago. Not really a pink kind of girl but I thought it would bring a bit of pop to the 'casual meeting' type of outfit on the sunday where 80,000+ people ran the city 2 surf across Sydney... whilst I had a nice wood fire pizza lunch for two at kirribilli.

Options

I'm looking for some new sunglasses right before we hit spring and these three pairs from Miu Miu's Fall 2011 collection seem to be right up my alley... Loving all three colour options and the shape which steers away from the majority of my circle shades. Always been a sucker for tortoise shell though. It reminds me of science class back in high school―the cells you see under a microscope.

Scattered polaroids

I've been meaning to post a couple of these up for a while now after getting this polaroid camera for my birthday back in may earlier this year. Buying film for my old 600 is getting harder and dearer so I'm glad I have this 300 now for photos I want in an instant. I wanted to wait till I filled up my leather bound album first and post them by each page but then this post would've been twenty times longer. So here's the shorter version, cut more than half way. Enjoy!

Four o'clock hitchhiker

A couple of basics that have turned into staple favourites.

Reasons include: the right amount of slight sheerness in a tee, a perfect length for a leather skirt (considering it originally sat below my knees) and a comfortable pair of short ankle boots that pretty much go with anything. Which reminds me... I need to either sell these and re order another one size up or get them stretched at the shoe maker. Still contemplating on that one.

The sun was bouncing from all angles here, but I kind of liked it.

Low heeled

I've been searching everywhere for these Chloe sandals but have had no luck. Found the mirrored heel and black/silver combo on sale but I really can't get this tan/gold ankle cuff off my mind...

Hopeless romantic
