The library collection and silver knots

Photobucket

My favourite from o-check design's library collection and the delicate knot ring I haven't taken off since it's tin box arrival in the post. Apart from this, I don't think I've ever mentioned my obsession with beautifully designed stationery, particularly in o-check's aesthetic. The library notebook range is a beautiful collection of nine vintage inspired hard cover books and here's another chapter for me to start in all my thoughts―and the heart talks. It's always hard writing those first few words in a crisp new journal. Or maybe that's just me.

On a side note; completing the collection is slowly getting there. Although the burgundy's, brown's and khaki's sit well together on my bookshelf, this may take a while.

Definitely a summer statement piece. The antiqued brass neck plate, leather braids, dangling feathers, trinkets and beads are a beautiful mess... the orange jersey keeps it relaxed and an undone plait compliments it nicely.

Joveeba 'dream catcher dress' here.

Warmer than usual

1. Rooftop carparksdress from tree of life, bag by deadly ponies. Picked up this simple little mini dress from tree of life's first warehouse sale earlier this year. It has these tiny pom poms on the trim which pretty much drew me to it's purchase.. evidence of my high attention to detail.

2. Some things look better beaten up. Eg. biker boots. Pairing pretty dresses with beaten up boots has always been a favourite. Kind of unexpected, like a beautiful girl with an attitude or tough love.

3. Our little ice-cream datebubblegum (left) and caramel brownie sundae (right) from dippin dots.

Barefoot

Sitting, legs crossed in an open field never felt more refreshing. It only seemed natural to be in my embroided dress with a crystal hanging from my left wrist, flowers in hand. This cuff reminds me of those old door knockers. If I ever had one on my front door it would've been exactly like this, rusted and raw. There's anticipation as to when the black tourmaline will shatter completelyhoping it never does... no matter how many knocks it takes.

Buckles, patent black and simple thick strapsmy new favourite sandals to pair back with brightly coloured, neon(ish) painted toe nails. They're pretty much the flat version of these, except shinier and every other detail slightly enlarged.

If you're searching to be enlightened, Molten Store is your destination. Purveyors of delicate, otherworldly jewellery and indulgent curiosities, it's filled with beauty and delight that never disappoints. They opened up their doors, hosted a little trunk show and shared a lot of love at their official launch. With an old decrepit table (which use to belong to a man who sold orchids at the markets) and a beautiful set-up, the mood is definitely captured in these photographs.

Ikat

country road scarf / joveeba top / topshop jeans/ asos heels / thrifted bangle

So glad daylight savings has finally kicked in, pretty much just because of the fact that it'll still be light by the time I leave work. I think I'll be living in this scarf/wrap/half hearted snuggie for a while. It's the perfect accessory for the transeasonal in-between's and is the kind of print I've been searching for in.. well, anything really. Partly because of this maxi skirt from sass and bide that I want to be prancing around in all summer.
